Privacy Policy

Rimblo is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that keeps the score in padel. This policy explains what data it uses and where that data goes.
Nothing leaves your devices. Rimblo has no server, asks for no account, uses no analytics and shows no ads. The only communication is between your iPhone and your Apple Watch, over Apple's link between them (WatchConnectivity), for the score, the players and the history.
What the app keeps, on the device: matches, padel days, the player names you enter, the score in progress and the settings. They are part of the device's iCloud or computer backup, according to your Apple settings. You can delete them in the app (match by match, day by day, the whole history, player by player) or by deleting the app.
Microphone. On the watch, with your permission, Rimblo listens for the short score commands ("green", "blue"). The short phrase, compressed, is sent to your own iPhone, which transcribes it on the device with Apple's speech recognition and answers the watch; the audio is not kept and goes nowhere else. For troubleshooting, the iPhone keeps a log with the text of the last transcribed phrases and what the app did with them, and the watch a log of technical events, without audio; you delete them in Settings → "Delete the voice log". The watch also keeps a few sound prints of the words "green" and "blue" to recognise them by itself; "Relearn the voice" deletes them.
Health. With your permission, the watch starts a tennis-type workout during the match, to read heart rate and active calories, show them in the statistics and save the workout to the Fitness app. Health data stays in HealthKit, on your devices; Rimblo sends it nowhere.
Photos. If you choose to save a results card, Rimblo adds it to Photos; it does not read other photos.
What you send yourself. Settings let you export your data and send the voice log. They leave the device only when you choose, and only to the place you choose.
Subscription. Payment goes through the App Store, with your Apple account. Rimblo receives from Apple only the confirmation that the subscription is active and until when; it never sees payment details. The subscription is managed in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Voice. The score announcements are recordings made in advance with a speech synthesis service (OpenAI), on the developer's computer, from fixed sentences; nothing is sent to OpenAI while you use the app.
Children. The app collects no data and has no unsuitable content; it is rated 4+.
